“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26 | ESV
Christians become saints and better disciples when facing trials of every kind. To complain about your suffering is to reject the process that makes you a true saint. Remembering that God is your strength makes all the difference.
God is on duty 24/7, and nothing, absolutely nothing happens to his saints without his approval and authority. Just ask Job, Apostles Paul and Peter; John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth.
Through all your suffering, your faith is being perfected and not destroyed. When you rejoice during your suffering Angels gather near you and demons, well they shudder in fear of what you’ll become. Nothing more can transform you faster then when you worship and praise God in the middle of your stormy trials. Your thankfulness will reduce your pain, just like a mother’s joy at the moment of her baby’s birth.
Pain is swallowed up in the midst of your joy, no matter what the Enemy says or does; he’s defeated at the moment of your praise, and your worship of God drives him away.
While Jesus suffered alone, he showed you and I how well a true and obedient son faces and endures the will of God.
Now, face your trials, your pain and whatever the will of God allows into your life with determination that none of it will destroy God’s love for you. You’re becoming a true Saint just like the Saints you’ve heard and read about in the Scriptures and down through the ages.
You can do it, because God is both in you and His angels are around you! There is nothing greater in this world than the abiding presence of God within your heart.
“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:3-5
May the God of the Angel Armies keep and protect you.
