The Rise of Fakers & Thieves vs The People of Faith & Freedom -By Thomas Koester

“If our God, whom we honor, can save us from a blazing furnace and from your power, he will, Your Majesty. But if he doesn’t, you should know, Your Majesty, we’ll never honor your gods or worship the gold statue that you set up.” Daniel 3:17-18

Let this New Year be a year whereby all believers everywhere honor God and His Word. We must resist men who threaten to seize control over our lives and who are progressively replacing the God in whom we worship, with false gods and ideologies increasingly infesting our sacred institutions.

We will never bow to a false president, nor accept fraudulent elections. We will not honor any decrees which dishonors God or the sanctity of life. We will never worship government or live by every word from the mouth of Washington DC.

We refuse to listen to fakers and thieves, whether in Church or government.

So, even if our God delays, our most sincere prayers and longing for a New Heaven and a New Earth, we’ll never honor false gods, or fake news broadcasts, nor will we honor their czar-gods, or worship “the golden programing” they continue to force us to watch.

Why? Because the Church will be too busy caring for the lost and reaching them in the four corners of this darkening world.

Rise up Oh Bride of Christ, your finest hour has dawned this New Year’s Day and our window of opportunity to exploit the last rays of freedom’s daylight is closing. Otherwise the day of our persecution and times of trouble spoken about in the Scriptures will soon provide the contrast which should have been there all along.

Our listening to glorious Sunday morning messages, talk radio; Christian-branding and marketing of worldly delights has forfeited the grace and culture that could have been ours. We’ve lost our Nation not because of our adherence to our Christianity, but because we did not preach it’s redemptive messages outside of our pretty Church buildings and corporate structures.

We’re loosing our Nation not because we’ve not read enough Christian authors, or followed each crazed Christian fad, but rather because we chose passivity and embellished ourselves on “Turkish Delights” of Worldliness, and gazed too long at the bewitchment of the Queen of Goodies and new Technologies. (For which, I too am guilty).

Because we used our freedom to form and fashion false gods of tolerance, gods of laughs and giggles; thumbs up and “Likes” to our sins and compromises. So we branded our Golden Calf with the name “Yahweh” to ease our guilty consciences and silence the voice of God’s whispering Holy Spirit of repentance.

Our Nation’s ruin is not our failed politics, or lack of political might, but rather our refusal to preach the Gospel of a better order, and of an eternal and expanding Kingdom. A Kingdom led by the King of kings, Lord of lords and the Presidents of presidents, that is Jesus Christ, The Righteousness of God!

But there is still Hope. And, the God of all hopes dwells within you. The time is NOW to declare the Hope which is inside of you. For how can it be hope unless you speak it out to the hopeless and the hope-lost?

Put down the false gods of our age, apnd thus brighten the future of America. Our freedom was won by people whose God is the Lord of Life and Freedom.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed! John 8:36

The Empire Strikes Back – The Counter Attack of the American Media Complex – By Thomas Koester

The Enemy of The People

I wrote this four years ago, yet it reads as though I wrote it just yesterday…

The Failed American Media Complex will not go away quietly into the night.

Get ready for all types of media, including social media, print media, and including the alphabet soup networks to strike back against conservative talking outlets, and any outlet whereby free speech flourishes. More and more corporate owners of giant social media sites and network owners will increase the amount of filters against all dissenting voices and opinions. You may have noticed this happening during the recent presidential campaign.

The Media Complex has lost HUGE and has seriously failed the Leftest and Progressives movements. They’ll stop at nothing to correct the wrong they’ve done to the political left and to themselves. So get ready for them to strike back hard!

They’ve inadvertently caused the near extinction of liberalism through their arrogant and inaccurate polling and reporting. “Journalism is dead,” is not quite an accurate montra, rather fair and accurate journalism is beyond dead and beyond saving. We need a new resurrection of true unbiased journalism and fact based reporting. We need a new bread of journalistic watchmen, willing to report the news, rather than shaping and creating the news.

We need a journalistic renaissance to bridge between misreporting to accurately reporting news events, and to hold those in political power accountable to truth and action.

The Freedom of the Press must be free of all bias and ideologically driven journalists, or we’ll lose all other freedoms. I don’t think most people realize just how close we came to losing the Republic during this past election cycle!

Do not return to apathy and indifference. Keep observing and keep talking, and while you’re at it, learn about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States. Become informed, so that those controlling the media and your classrooms that want you to be uninformed, will be met with your intelligence and not your ignorance.

America is free, because of intelligent-free thinking and self-governing people. The “Useful idiots” (the uninformed) have already lost their freedoms, and are therefore more easily manipulated by “community organizers” and a Media Complex gone wild and unchecked!

Our Nation’s freedom was won by a handful of rebels against the largest and most powerful empire of its day. We too can win the battle against the Media Complex Empire – one network at a time! Starve them to death by listening to them no more.

This is our New American Revolution. You are The Resistance against The American Media Complex!

The Deconstructing of America – By Thomas Koester

The Left are experts in the use of disasters as a political and ideological wrecking ball.

We are witnessing the systematic tearing down of America, under the guise of a real virus, but a false pandemic.

The unfortunate and tragic death of George Floyd had been exploited before all the facts and evidence was considered. Tragically, a rush to judgment incited anger, hatred, division, and ultimately chaos and destruction. Both the virus and the needles death of George Floyd have impacted the economy and National morale, as well as force more and more people into governmental dependency.

Now, in addition to eliminating the bail system, the Socialist and Leftists want to take our guns away. Due to recent events, they want to defund and disband local police agencies. If that’s not enough, the Democrats want to suspend in-person voting just in time for the 2020 November elections.

Do you see? Mass shootings are the driving force to take away our guns. The pandemic is the driving force to fundamentally change the way we vote. The unfortunate death of George Floyd by several cops becomes the driving force to defund and disband the police.

If you look backward at many major events, you can connect the dots to the political agenda of the Left, into the near, and or, distant future. Their efficient use of disaster and calamity becomes breadcrumbs. Follow the breadcrumbs and they’ll lead you to their modus operandi. Each and every one of these historic events is politically abused and exploited to erode our freedoms and destroy the Constitution. The historic evidence is there. Matter of fact the historical evidence is there in any of the previously collapsed Nations.

Rahm Emanuel was the 23rd Chief of Staff serving President Obama and the 55th Mayor of Chicago. He is famous for making an interesting observation about natural or planned disasters:

“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” – Rahm Emanuel

The Left’s tools of deconstructing America are the use of natural calamity or the creation of disaster to fundamentally change or destroy America. The Left are experts in the use of disasters as a political and ideological wrecking ball.

Honestly, and with all seriousness, if the Conservatives lose both Houses this November, including the White House, America as we know her is finished! This is not mere speculation, but a certainty. Current events are dress rehearsals for something much larger and more widespread.

Was George Floyd a marked-man? Or were the Left desperately waiting for a black American to be killed by a white cop? Whether this incident was happenstance or anticipated, one thing is sure, it was used for maximum effectiveness, and to provide cover for what’s really going on, as well as contribute to further economic ruin of businesses, towns and cities during a key election year.

If we don’t see and understand that everything which has been happening these past few years is intentional and coordinated; designed to corrupt and dismantle our freedoms and liberties, then prevention and recovery will be impossible, or very costly.

Just recently, in California, the Democratic controlled State Assembly has passed a law lowering the age of sexual consent to 14 years of age! I bet with all the pandemonium you hadn’t seen this in the news.

The time for indictments and arrests is now, tomorrow, next week or next month is too late. If these indictments and arrests do not happen before this November than it will never happen.

My hope is in God. He is, for those who trust him, our High Tower and Shield, but I fear for the millions of people that have no trust in God and remain unsaved. There will be a great shaking of America and the world. Nothing that we’ve recently experienced will even come close to the disaster on the horizon.

It reminds me of the Lord of The Rings, “The Tale of Two Towers.”

Evil, I’m afraid, is wakening and aligning. A dark army is forming. The same allies of the past, the Far Left and Islamic Jihadists of the 1930s and 1940s are again coming together. This is not conspiratorial nonsense, or a Hollywood movie script, but historical fact and the evidence is all around in plain sight. But too many people have their faces in front of their smartphones and tablets to notice.

Do you ever wonder how great Nations have fallen?

They fall because too few are paying attention. The watchmen have become too distracted, or have fallen asleep. A free press is the watchmen of society. At least our Founding Fathers thought so. Except our broadcast and printed news media has long since been co-opted by the Left.

Look no further than in America. She is about to fall because so few are paying attention. Today’s watchmen are marginalized or called a “conspiracy nut.” They’re maligned; they impune their character, or accuse them of racism, or acting unchristian. Anybody in the news media that doesn’t follow the political narrative is forced out.

The deconstructing of America has slowly been progressing for over 100 years. However, in these past few years, and especially the first half of 2020, America is falling rapidly, as if the Left tripped the alarm and are now rushing their plan of destruction before America wakes up.

Currently, BLM and ANTIFA are moving from city to city and into the suburbs. I just read a report that the Portland activists and rioters are traveling to Lodi, California.

Do you care, or are you more interested in napping?

Your silence is deconstructing America.

America, WAKE UP!

The Slumbering of Christianity – By Thomas Koester

“I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw:

“‘A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.’” Proverbs 24: 32-34

America appears to be at the beginning stages of a revolution. The political Left, Marxists and Socialists are fanning the flames of division and are trying to create a war between races, by exploiting unfortunate wrongs and the sins of past centuries. Hatred for Christians, conservatives, and white people is all around, and especially in our major cities and metropolitan areas. Hatred for America and capitalism is being taught in our colleges and universities.

Because of the indoctrination of past several generations, I believe that great persecution is coming. A time of testing is upon us. Christianity is being assaulted. Patriotism is under attack. Our monuments, plaques, and history is being systematically destroyed, canceled and erased, leaving nothing to learn from. Our youth are being used by the Leftist Cabal to kill America and resurrect her as a Socialistic Communist State.

What do you think the world leaders and corporations mean by “Global Reset”?

Global Reset is simply a more acceptable term for New World Order. Do you really think that people of real genuine faith will be invited to the table? That there will be a place for us in this new world?

I don’t think so. Hstory shows us that when the Church abrogates its duty as Salt and Light, darkness invades and usurps our God given role as occupier.

Didn’t Jesus ask us to do something before he returns?

“And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” (Luke 19:13)

The word occupy means to invest with the intent of increase. They were not simply to keep their Master’s pounds safe. Like the one servant that covered his pound and kept it hidden and protected.

What happened to the dude that kept his pound safe?

“And he [Jesus] said to those who stood by, ‘Take the pound from him, and give it to the one who has the ten pounds.’ And they said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten pounds!’ ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” (Luke 19: 24-26)

Jesus meant for us to risk everything for the sake of the Kingdom and the Gospel, not keep ourselves safe from the world, that’s the job of the Father of Jesus. God the Father keeps us safe, as we obey the Words of his Son, Jesus Christ.

“I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.” (John 17:15)

Who told you to take the Church out of the world?

It wasn’t Jesus!

Our vacancy in the would has left an open opportunity for the evils of humanity to move in. Our absence as parents, preoccupied with consumption of more then enough, has left its children’s hearts and minds empty and vulnerable. Allowing the State to “educate” our children has corrupted their minds and distorted their virtues.

Our youth of several generations have been robbed of learning and understanding the horrors of Communism. They know nothing of the Socialism of past Nations, nor the misery and death left in its ungodly wake. This is what happens to generations of children when, instead of teaching them historical fact, they are propagandize, and formed unknowingly into groups of agitators, rioters, and revolutionaries.

This is what happens when Christianity barricades themselves in behind the walls of their Churches, instead of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the marketplaces, downtowns, and the city squares.

“What good is a light hidden under a basket, and what good is salt left in its container?” – Jesus of Nazareth

Jesus preached in towns, hillsides and lakesides; he preached in town squares, villages and at marketplaces. He touched the leappers, the diseased, the blind and the crippled. He set the oppressed free. Cast out demons publicly, dismantling their reign. He crossed racial barriers, challenged religious intolerance, cursed the spiritual elitists, and toppled tables of greed and unjust gain. Jesus did all of this, and far more outside and in plain view. Was Jesus an anomaly, or the standard for all those who call themselves by his Name and hold to his Testimony?

What we’re witnessing today is what the world looks like when Churches retreat from the world, rather than going into the world. We’ve tried conforming our services to the appeal of the world, but as a result, we have created worldly Churches. Worldly Churches have no real spiritual power. The “Prosperity Gospel” does nothing more than create poor Christians, powerless to live godly lives that can impact culture and extol the virtues of our faith.

“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3

I call upon the faithful believers in the 3rd World Nations to pray for their brothers and sisters in the West; in Europe and the Americas. We will either rise up from our apathy and preoccupation with prosperity, or join the Nations toppled in past histories. Either we rise to the occasion and loudly proclaim the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, or go silently into seasons of persecution and purification. Jesus Christ will, with all certainty, come back for his Radiant Bride, but not for a Worldly Tramp.

Wake up, Oh House of God from your slumber! Judgment is nearing and your lamps are unfilled, you are ill prepared for the day of disaster!

The hour is late – do you know where your faith is?

The Strength of The Abiding Presence of God – By Thomas Koester

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26 | ESV

Christians become saints and better disciples when facing trials of every kind. To complain about your suffering is to reject the process that makes you a true saint.

Remembering that God is your strength makes all the difference.

God is on duty 24/7, and nothing, absolutely nothing happens to his saints without his approval and authority. Just ask Job, Apostles Paul, and Peter; John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth.
Through all your suffering, your faith is being perfected and not destroyed. When you rejoice during your suffering Angels gather near you and demons, well they shudder in fear of what you’ll become. Nothing more can transform you faster than when you worship and praise God in the middle of your stormy trials. Your thankfulness will reduce your pain, just like a mother’s joy at the moment of her baby’s birth.
Pain is swallowed up in the midst of your joy, no matter what the Enemy says or does; he’s defeated at the moment of your praise, and your worship of God drives him away.
While Jesus suffered alone, he showed you and I how well a true and obedient son faces and endures the will of God.
Now, face your trials, your pain, and whatever the will of God allows into your life with determination that none of it will destroy God’s love for you. You’re becoming a true Saint just like the Saints you’ve heard and read about in the Scriptures and down through the ages.
You can do it because God is both in you, and His angels are around you! There is nothing greater in this world than the abiding presence of God within your heart.
“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient. Patience develops the strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally, our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:3-5
May the God of the Angel Armies keep and protect you.

Are You a Christ-Follower or a Churchgoer? – By Thomas Koester

If you haven’t noticed lately, the world appears to be slightly short of Christ-Followers.

If we can be honest, COVID-19 shut Churches down because too many Churches suffer from corporatism. That is, in order for Churchs, or religious organizations to “prosper,” they must subscribe to a structural governance that conforms to State and IRS standards. These “standards” hinder the Churches from acting freely, dynamically and transcendently.

COVID-19 simply revealed how much the State actually controls religious liberties, and the actuation of both individual and corporate faith. In other words, what we’ve learned is the core of our identity of trusting and obeying God was superceded by governmental mandates, and their insistence to trust and obey them. Our faith in God and obedience to his Word has lost its contrast, as we believers huddled in our homes with the same fear and apprehension as the unbelievers.

I encourage you to contrast the 21st Century Church with the description and actions of the Church written about in the Acts of the Apostles and in the epistles. Churches back then didn’t worry about liability insurance or the risking of their lives or being arrested. The Gospel went out in spite of death threats, arrests, beatings; in spite of shipwrecks, venomous snake bites, stoning, beheadings and crucifixions.

Our early brothers and sisters defied both civil and religious authorities, where chased out of towns, temples and festivals. When they suffered greatly they wore the stripes from lashings as chevrons and badges of honor, being counted worthy to suffer for Christ Jesus. In a supernatural way, they discovered fellowship with the sufferings of Jesus.

So, I ask you, are you a Christ-Follower, or are you a Churchgoer?

We have everything in Christ, but many believers live as though they’re spiritually bankrupt, having little to no idea of how spiritually rich they are.

I was speaking with some friends of mine a while ago. I had suggested that somewhere along our spiritual journey we’ve ceased being Christ-followers and have simply become Churchgoers. Our lack of individual and collective power bears this out.

Have we exchanged our spiritual heritage and authority for a lifeless, powerless, corporate construct and a 501-C3 tax break?

The truth is that if we’re connected by faith to God, through Christ, then even our mere shadows would become dispensaries of His grace and healing. This is not simply a lost apostolic emphasis, but a lack of connecting faith with obedience and divine relationship with Jesus Christ, who is the source of all life and truth within us.

My good friend, Tony Shaw asked, “why has no one walked on water since the time Peter had left the boat and his feckless cohorts?”

If you have Christ and the fullness of His riches, you then have what it takes to do greater things for others. This is true of the smallest and greatest believer.

When Jesus sends out the 72, he tells them, “Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.” Luke 10:3

Later he instructs them: “Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.'” Luke 10:9

When the 72 return, they brief Jesus with amazing and miraculous reports. Jesus’ response: “I beheld Satan like lightning fall from heaven.” Luke 10:17-18

In light of all this, Jesus promotes, authorize and admonishes them, reminding them to be humble and that their identity is in Heaven.

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20

I want to remind you too that your significance and identity is in Heaven, and that you also have been given authority. Your faith, as little as it maybe, is far greater than you think.

“I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Luke 7:28

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” John 14:12

Can you imagine, if we truly understood our identities in Christ and walked as He walked? Because Christ Jesus has gone to the Father, He said we will do greater things then He. What if we spent a few hours at hospitals, nursing homes, Walmart or hospice care facilities? What would be the outcome of the sick and dying, if we were truly connected to heaven’s riches in Christ?

This could be one way of lowering the cost of healthcare!

If you abide in me, said Jesus, and my words abide in you, then anything you ask of my Father will be done for you. John 15:7

All we need to accomplish this is an exchanged identity. Thwart our false selves and acknowledge our true selves as Children of God!

Turn your old one in today and receive a brand new identity in Christ Jesus. The lost, hurting and sick needs the Christ in us. All heaven and earth, even nature are yearning for the Children of God to be revealed.

Are you simply a Churchgoer or Christ-Follower? There is a difference. If you follow Christ into Church, you must also follow Christ into the world in which he’s placed you.

The Kingdom of God is in you, and as you go into the world, no matter how dark or frightening, you bring the Kingdom of God near people. Believe me, it will not go unnoticed!

The Cozy & Snuggly Dangers of Apathy – By Thomas Koester

Apathy is so nice and cozy. You don’t have to worry about absolutely nothing!

It’s like enjoying your home, all of it’s comforts and niceties, and paying no attention to the fire in your attic and the flood rising in your basement.

Oh, never mind those pesky neighbors, pounding on your doors and windows, they’re just disturbing your tranquil occupation with Reality TV.

“Gees,” you think to yourself: “those neighbors need to get a life!”

“A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.” Proverbs 6:10-11

Wake up people, we’re losing the cultural war – the battle for the very soul of our Nation, because the Church is asleep in the Light and doesn’t bother leaving it’s cozy pews to put Truth into practice.

Are we more mesmerized by the light trickling in through the pretty stained glass windows, than the Light of the Glorious Gospel beaming outward, like lightening from the East to the West?

If all the wars and rumor of wars are not troubling, and all the reports of world wide terrorisim aren’t unsettling; if Mother Nature’s fury is yesterday’s news and riots churning up bloody revolution is simply an inconvenience, then you’re not paying attention. The world is in turmoil and Churches split over scandal after scandal. Some priests molest and many pastors build their empires and dynastic ministries.

500 years ago, Martin Luther posted his Ninety Five Thesis on the Church doors to wake up the clergy, putting them on notice. He shocked the religious establishment and freed ideological and theological slaves from the falseness of fake religion and heresy into the Light of God’s Word.

Where are the Luthers of our time? Where are the Christlike Saints of unstoppable faith and undetoured obedience? Where are the brave souls awakened from apathy?

God is all about keeping his promises and there will, one day, be a day of reckoning – God does indeed hear the persistent prayers of desperate widows; However, Christ has said, “…when the Son of Man returns, will he find faith on earth?” Luke 18:8.

Church, your attics are on fire and in your basements the flood waters are rising! Stop allowing FEMA and the government the usurpation of your calling and the robbery of your crowns!

You’ve exchanged your glory for a 501-C3 tax break! Yet, Christ has said:

“Give back to Caesar the things of Caesar, and to God the things of God.”

You’ve given to Caesar too much, and to God, too little.

Wake up, Oh Bride of Christ, your finest hour is upon you and the fields of every Nation are white, ready for harvest.

If the signs of the times are any indication of the eminent return of Jesus Christ, then wake up from your apathy and dust off your faith, you are desperately needed!

The Grasshopper and The Giant – By Thomas Koester

Remember the story of the twelve Hebrew spies that Moses sent into the promised land?

“Caleb interrupted, called for silence before Moses, and said, “Let’s go up and take the land—now. We can do it.”

“… But the others said, “We can’t attack those people; they’re way stronger than we are.” They spread scary rumors among the people of Israel. They said, “We scouted out the land from one end to the other—it’s a land that swallows people whole. Everybody we saw was huge. Why, we even saw the Nephilim giants (the Anak giants come from the Nephilim). Alongside them, we felt like grasshoppers. And they looked down on us as if we were grasshoppers.” Numbers 13: 30-33

It’s your faith in God that gives you a proper perspective. Joshua and Caleb’s faith in the ability of God convinced them:

“Let’s go up and take the land—now. We can do it.” – Caleb

For many, the microscopic COVID-19 virus had become their giant. But even here and now, in the 21st century, we have a similar choice.

Do we become paralyzed with fear?

Do we spread rumors and fake news?

Do we so easily forfeit our rights as citizens?

How does our faith work in this situation?

Is an unseen pathogen beyond the ability of God, stronger than God?

Is Governor Cuomo right in what he said?

“The number [deaths] is down because we brought the number down,” he told the press. “God did not do that. Faith did not do that. Destiny did not do that. A lot of pain and suffering did that…” – Governor Cuomo, New York

Are we on our own, left to our own demise?

Certainly not!

Are you a Joshua and Caleb, or are you easily intimidated by giants?

If we could be convinced that the giants we face in our darkest days are only grasshoppers, then we’d realize that our faith in God actually makes us into giants.

Faith changes our perception of what is impossible or immovable, to what is possible and moveable. This is true of those with the smallest of faith. Even our smallest faith in God can bring us our biggest triumphs in life.

As a matter of fact, when you actuate your faith in God, the Devil and his minions see you as a giant. Their perception of you changes as your faith is exercised.

So, believe the Eternal One who is in you so that you may defeat the Evil One who is in the world. It should always be faith over matter and not matter over faith. Faith in God always triumphs against evil. Faith triumphs against our fears. Against our sicknesses; our diseases, our losses, and against our loneliness. Faith moves us to do the impossible for God.

I’ll say it again…

…faith in God always triumphs.

He triumphs over everything, even in death. So, shout at your giants in the Name of Jesus; being yielded to God and while standing firm in your faith, and the giants must flee, and they’ll scurry away like grasshoppers!

Your faith is a bold proclamation of your sonship and authority in Christ, and it sends giants packing and shrinks them down to size.

The 14 year old singer-songwriter and poet, David, son of Jesse, knew it. And, now you know it.

You are not the grasshopper. Your faith makes you the Giant!

Here’s the Church, And Here’s The Steeple, Open The Doors And Where’s All the People? – By Thomas J. Koester

The COVID-19 virus caused the emptying of 21st-century Christianity’s churches and cathedrals.

While the empty tomb of our Lord and Savior is, and forever, will be the main power source of Christianity, the Social Distancing edict might have inadvertently caused a miracle. Due to COVID-19, maybe empty church buildings will also become, in a small way, (a) power source for modern-day Christianity. Maybe our closed buildings will mean an opening to global evangelism.

The empty tomb meant that the old religious order of continual animal sacrifices was over. It means that the old order of the priesthood was over. It meant that the veil, which separated you and me from direct access to God, was torn down. And very importantly, it meant that where two or more are gathered, there in their midst is the very presences of God, and no longer confined to the temple made by man. It means that even when we are alone, and without each other, that God is with us and in our very own hearts.

God’s people no longer needed priests. God’s people no longer needed animal sacrifices to make atonement. God’s people no longer had to experience His favor and presence by proxy. And, God’s people no longer were confined to a temple made of bricks and mortar.

Because of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are free of all the religious trappings and traditions of men and of the consequences of the law. We are free to be the Church wherever we gather, even as few as two people!

Let us capitalize on our present situation and be convinced, once and for all, that we, as God’s people, are the Church. We are the living church. We, you and I, are the bride of Christ. Our church buildings, plain or palatial, were never meant to be the representation of the world.

Although, sadly, Church buildings had become the identity of Christianity. It is my hope that God’s people will be recognized as the Church and regain her position as the living bride of Christ and the center of Christianity.

One Sunday, Toni and I visited a church in Oakdale, California. When we arrived, we walked in and learned that the Church was emptied except for a few people who were preparing a luncheon, later to be enjoyed by the returning congregation. Rather than their typical service, the Church was in the downtown square, assisting their local community. We were actually pleasantly surprised and not at all offended by the empty sanctuary.

Do not be overcome because we cannot presently occupy a building, but celebrate that with or without buildings that we are the Bride of Christ, and that we’re meant to deliver the Gospel of the Kingdom to every nation and to every people. In doing so, our proclamation will hasten the ending and will launch the new beginning that we’ve all been longing for.

For the past 1700 years, Christianity created and built ornate cathedrals with spires and steeples pointing to the heavens.

Let the truth be known:

“Church steeples can be traced back thousands of years to Egypt and pagan worship. Roman Emperor Constantine and his “Edict of Milan” in 313CE made the Empire officially neutral with regard to religion. Eventually, Pagan and Christian symbols were eventually merged at the Council of Nicea in 325CE, and new doctrines and dogmas were set up by the Holy Roman Catholic (meaning universal) Church, and strictly enforced, under penalty of death.”

Since then, this building emphasizes that along with Christianity, continually orbiting ornate and palatial constructs, we’ve ceased going into all the world with the Gospel and instead invited all the world into our buildings. Over time, the contrast between Christianity and “worldlism” diminished. Rather than the world becoming more influenced by Christianity, the world’s influence had crept into our churches and has negated our need for faith and the Great Commission.

Let’s pray that this COVID-19 virus heals Christianity from its obsession with buildings and steeples and instead goes out, even as few as two-by-two, to all the peoples.

Sometimes Suffering Is a Test That You Must Pass – By Thomas Koester

The Enemy’s plan: Cause you pain to rob you of your future. God’s plan: Give you a future through your pain and rob the Enemy.

The way you fail the test of suffering is to claim yourself as a victim.

The reason you feel like a victim is because you do not feel like a son or daughter.

Stop interpreting your hardship as a series of mishaps. If you begin to embrace all hardship as an established fact of your son-ship, suddenly you’ll gain strength that you’ve never thought possible. Our God is no dead-beat dad; those whom he loves, he inflicts hardship, and his hardship for your life comes from a good place in his heart.

Once you’ve realized this, you will embrace and welcome hardship, greeting it each day as you are conformed into the image of Jesus Christ. He’s fathering you and he knows what he is doing.

Your suffering is actually making you into God’s masterpiece. The sooner you understand this the sooner your trust in God will foil the Devil’s plan of distorting your future.

One of the most effective and powerful things you can do is to praise God in the midst of your suffering. This will destroy any misgivings and doubt about who you are and who God is. This will also destroy the Devil’s plan and his scheme of using your suffering as his weapon – your praise disarms evil!

The Enemy’s plan: Cause you pain to rob you of your future. God’s plan: Give you a future through your pain and rob the Enemy.

This is because as a follower of Jesus, you are God’s son or daughter, and the Evil One, well he can’t take that away; he can mess with your mind and feelings, but the truth of who you are and to whom you belong is the source of your strength.

Revelation 12:11

“They defeated him [the Devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony; for they did not love their lives but laid them down for him [Christ].”

You are God’s beloved son our daughter and this truth is secured in the finished work of Jesus Christ!

So, look to the wisdom behind your suffering and hardship. I think you may discover your Father’s fingerprints and Jesus’ footsteps.

If you find yourself on “Easy Street” sinning and carrying on, peering upon the naked, peeking at the exploited and injecting your life with indulgences and have no hardship and no suffering; then quite possibly, you’re illegitimate and not a true son. But, I trust this is not your case.

“My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding…” Proverbs 3:11-13

If you pass this test you’ll move on. If you blame the devil and others, you’ll stay stuck in a perpetual groundhog day.

So, don’t waste your hardships and suffering on blaming the devil or others. Accept it and be fathered.

Maybe you’re not a victim after all. Maybe you are a true child of God.
